Cornell Delta Gamma
Doing Good at Cornell since 1885
A Letter from the VP Recruitment
Dear Potential New Members,
My name is Paola Fuentes and I am Delta Gamma’s Vice President of Membership. I hope you are all as anxious and excited to get started with the recruitment process as we are!
Coming from a very small all girls school in Puerto Rico, Cornell was very intimidating to me at first. Recruitment became a way for me to be able to have that small, empowering, tight-knit community here at Cornell, always surrounded with the amazing women I get to call my sisters. Throughout the past three and half years, I have made so many memories and friendships that I know will be with me forever.
Delta Gamma has been a part of the Cornell community since the chapter was established in 1885 and is the longest continually running sorority at Cornell. As DGs, we pride ourselves on fostering high ideals of friendship, prompting educational excellence and cultural interests, creating a true sense of social responsibility, and developing the best qualities of character. When you join DG, you are joining a vast network of amazing members and alumni, that will always be there to lend a helping hand. My DG sisters always encourage me to work hard and do good, and we hope to instill those values in our future new member class!
I know the recruitment process might seem a little scary, but I promise you all, it is a truly rewarding experience. With so many amazing sororities here on the Cornell campus, I can assure you all that the perfect place for each and every one of you is out there. We can’t wait for you all to get to know DG and find your home here at Cornell.
Best,
Paola Fuentes
